Forehead Lift/ Brow lift /Temporal Lift

A forehead lift, brow lift, or temporal lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure to improve frown lines, and the vertical creases develop between the eyebrows, including crow feet, and sagging eyebrow.  The wrinkles and deep frown lines in horizontal across the forehead will be corrected with a permanent result, better than Botulinum toxin.  This procedure helps restore facial youthfulness and make more confidence.

There are four methods to perform forehead, eyebrow, and temporal lift as follows:

  • Traditional forehead lift/ brow lift
  • Endoscopic forehead lift/brow lift
  • Direct brow lift
  • Temporal lift

1. Traditional forehead lift / brow lift

The incision locates behind the frontal hairline from ear to ear. Forehead tissue and skin move up. The surgeon relaxes some muscles to correct deep frown lines, then cuts the excess tissue and stitches at the incision line.

The operation takes 1-2 hours under general anesthesia. Recovery time is one week after surgery.

2. Endoscope forehead lift / brow lift

This procedure is a minimally invasive surgery method where only tiny incisions are made on the patient. The surgeon makes four small incisions behind the hairline. They will insert an endoscope into one of the incisions to view inside the forehead tissue to eliminate wrinkles on the forehead and elevate the position of the eyebrows.

The operation takes 1-2 hours under general anesthesia. Recovery time is one week after surgery.

3. Direct brow lift

In case the forehead is quite high, and the eyebrows are very close to the eyes, the surgeon would make the incision line as close as possible to the upper part of the eyebrow to hide the scar and remove the optimal excess skin above the eyebrow. To create a more effective result. The direct brow lifts quickly to adjust the shape and positioning eyebrows, but beware of the visible scar.

4. Temporal Lift

Temporal lift is a procedure that concerns crow feet or the problem of lateral outer one-third of the brow being completely flat or slanted downwards. This procedure can fix the flows and small wrinkles in the outer part of the brows and eyes area.

The incision is above the ear, approximately 5 cm behind the hairline. The skin and the muscle covering one-third of the eyebrow pull up. Once the eyebrow curved is improved, the position is fixed with sutures.

The operation takes 1-2 hours under local anesthesia. Recovery time is one week after surgery.
